The huts are a stone's throw away from the beautiful and famous "Dorset Gap". The Dorsetshire Gap, also called the Dorset Gap, is a critical, historic track junction - once the hub of central Dorset in southern England - and a well-known beauty spot and magnet for ramblers. It's an excellent hike/gentle walk through the Piddle Valleys rolling hills. On your way, you can stop by the Lyscome Chapel, a historically listed building that was forgotten for many years.
